    Event Update: Duke Kahanamoku Races (Saturday August 19 – 20, 2017)

    August 17, 2017 – Kailua Beach Park

    OHCRA, together with Lanikai Canoe Club is informing those participating in this weekend’s Duke Kahanmoku Races that canoes cannot be brought to the Kailua Beach on Friday, August 18, 2017 and left overnight. The permit for Saturdays event is from 600am – 1100am on August 19, 2017. In addition, we are asking crews to remove their canoes after the Saturday race as they will not be allowed to remain overnight Saturday. The permit for the race on Sunday is from 600am – 1100am August 20, 2017.

    Crews caught in violation will have to assess the fine imposed on OHCRA and Lanikai Canoe Club by the City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation. Please disseminate the information to your individual clubs. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may have caused.
