Keola O Ke Kai Canoe Club is proud to announce the return of the Malama Pono `Ia Kawele`a Race. The race will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Mauli Ola aka the Sand Island Boat Launch. All proceeds go to the Keola O Ke Kai Youth Program (501(c)(3) non-profit). Ono grinds to follow for all participating paddlers.

***Registration Link & Race Flyer can be found here.

Race Background: Keola O Ke Kai Canoe Club is a small club that deals primarily with youth paddlers so funding to refurbish our Koa canoe, Kawele`a, is hard to come by. In 2010, we decided to start a preseason race to raise funds to give our Koa canoe an overhaul being that she was made in the 70s. Now that remodel is complete, we continue to use these funds to maintain our beloved Kawele`a.
