Digital Waiver Process for the 2025 Season

OHCRA Club Leaders and members,
As we prepare for the 2025 paddling season, OHCRA is implementing a streamlined digital waiver process to improve efficiency, accessibility, and security for all member clubs and participants. This update reflects our commitment to modernizing operations while prioritizing the safety, privacy, and well-being of our paddling community.
Key Updated for 2025:
Two Required Waivers:
For the 2025 season, both an HCRA waiver and an OHCRA waiver must be completed by every paddler. These waivers must be submitted digitally before participating in any OHCRA-sanctioned events, practices, or regattas.
Digital Waiver Platform:
All waivers will be completed electronically through Alohaforms.org, a secure platform accessible via desktop, tablet, or smartphone. For club specific links, please see the attached document that can also be found online at ohcra.com in the documents section, Registration Docs tab called Digital Waivers.
Enhanced Security for Paddlers’ Information:
The new digital waiver system ensures improved protection of personal identifiable information (PII) through encryption and secure storage. By transitioning to this platform, we are reducing the risks associated with paper-based waivers, including unauthorized access or loss of sensitive documents.
Club Administration Access:
Club representatives will have administrative access to monitor waiver submissions for their members, ensuring that all required forms are completed. This system includes access controls to maintain the security of sensitive information. For clubs that need a refresher on how to access this information, please contact Team Kokua at registration@ohcra.com.
Training and Support:
Club representatives are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the system and ask any questions. A How-to guide has been posted in the "documents" section of OHCRA.com under the "Registration Docs" tab called Club Waiver Access.
Action Required:
- Share the attached guide and waiver links for both the waivers with your paddlers and update your clubs websites to remove all old paper forms.
- Encourage your members to complete both waivers before their first practice.
