Now Open: 2025 OHCRA Scholarship Applications

The OHCRA Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the opening of two scholarship opportunities for the 2025 season, aimed at supporting our paddling ʻohana both on and off the water.
This initiative provides quality paddles to outstanding keiki within our association, ensuring that access to proper equipment doesn't hinder their potential. Approximately 24 paddles will be awarded to youth paddlers who exhibit dedication to their canoe club, cultural grounding, and personal growth.
Application Deadline: May 15, 2025
Designed for paddlers pursuing higher education—whether at a university, community college, or trade school—this scholarship honors academic ambition and service to the paddling community. Awards include:

Three (3) scholarships of $3,000 each

Six (6) scholarships of $1,000 each
Application Deadline: June 15, 2025
